The hotel is situated in the heart of Venice, but not this busy crowded touristic heart here you can’t breath cause there are plenty of folks roaring around. We loved everything! Good breakfast, nicely decorated rooms (though quite tiny), location and of course the employees. They all get 12 from 10. My husband had a birthday and we even got the ballons to our room, so pleasant! Absolutely sure, next time in Venice, we’ll stay there, cause this option is lovely and safe. Also good price/quality.
My friends, myself & my husband stayed here during our Anniversary visit to Venice. Myself & one friend are partially disabled. We were looked after very well nothing to much trouble. Easy to get to room via the lift, rooms are not huge but enough enough for us with good ensuite facilities. Beautiful venician decor to rooms & hotel. Easy reach to everything. Would highly recommend.
The ambiance was authentic Venezia, the staff were wonderful and the location fantastic. Close to San Marco's in a beautiful piazza with multiple good restaurant choices and less hustle and bustle. Room was romantic but on the small side. If you want to stay in your room and not explore beautiful Venice then maybe find somewhere else. If you want to stay in a perfectly located, quaint Venetian style accommodation with great hospitality and delicious breakfast then consider the Hotel Santo Stefano.
A great little find. This hotel is situated just by the Accademia Bridge and about a 10 minute walk to both San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. The square the hotel is situated on is busy enough without being in the absolute heart of touristville. There are a few restaurants, one of which is open for food until late, which is really handy.
The hotel itself has just 12 rooms so it has a cosy feel to it. Breakfast is included and the coffee is plentiful.
The room we had looked out over the square and we slept with the window open which was lovely; you could hear the bustle of the square but it wasn't too noisy. The room has air conditioning and is ample in size. The bed was comfortable and there's a small fridge in the room that we were able to use for our water as well as the hotel providing a small selection of drinks and snacks to purchase.
The bathroom was compact but the shower was quite large and had a rain head shower which was great.
Overall, this hotel was great, good value for money, friendly staff and in a great location for exploring without being in a horrendously busy area
We had a very pleasant stay in the respect of the friendleness of staff. They were very helpful with any questions we had. The hotel & rooms were spotless, really clean. The rooms are very small too small really however, the furnishings are beautiful. I have knocked 1 stars off as the air con was useless!!! It blew out hot air which made sleeping etc very uncomfortable. We did inform reception a couple of times. We was provided with a fan which did bring a little relief but was so noisey you couldn't sleep. I have also knocked off another star as the breakfast room size is inadequate for all guests. You have the option to sit outside but due to the heat & mosquito 's that wasnt an option for us. The breakfast was plentiful & Marco's the tall slim gentleman is lovely, can't do enough for you. Had some lovely conversations with him. The hotel has lots of history which was very interesting. Just a shame that the air con was not adequate. Other guests discussed this at breakfast time & wasnt happy.
