Jacqueline and her husband were fantastic. Simple and flexible check in in a very secure private apartment. My partner and I loved the location (2 minute walk to San Giovanni metro station) and about a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum.
The apartment and room were spotlessly clean, quiet, cosy and welcoming (with coffee and croissants replenished daily!). We had the room with the balcony that overlooked the rooftops of Rome and the spectacular roof of the San Giovanni cathedral. It's a lovely space to sit early in the morning (if you like that sort of thing).
Take the recommendations for restaurants from the owners as they are the best/cheapest/most Italian in what can be a very expensive city to eat out. We even got free wine with our meal in one of the local places!
We had a wonderful time at this B&B and would certainly stay again.

Great apartment - Bernardo had a map and suggestion of a fantastic local restaurant vecchio lotto which was excellent. The room was a good size and he cleaned it everyday. Breakfast was cereal, bread, yogurt coffee which was self service so you could also use the kitchen throughout the day if you needed to. We bought some fruit to add to it. Location was great - 10 min walk to Colosseum and 2 mins to the metro stop. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a small and very friendly B&B. Bernardo makes you at home straight away with his friendly gentle manner. my room was spotless with a double bed en suite, tv, hairdryer, and a glimpse of the saints on top of San Giovanni in Laterno from my window.! Self service breakfast with ample choice and use of the kitchen at any time day or night.. Situated on a quiet street walking distance from centre of rome with metro , busses, restaurants, bars & fab market 3 mins away. I couldnt recommend this B&B enough for value for money excellent service and central location. Cant wait to return!

We just came back from our trip to Rome and we were guests in this charming B&B of Bernardo.
The place is really great, really close to everything worth visiting in Rome, only 10 minutes away from the Colosseum and also close to the Metro line.
The building is very quiet and nice and the place itself is a little jewel. We had a great room, very very clean and comfortable.
I don't know how Bernardo does it, but this place is one of the cleanest I have ever been to and it can beat many hotels with people especially hired to do the cleaning.
You have TV, Ac, a bathroom to yourself and a nice common place to have breakfast or some tea in the afternoon.
There is also a great pizza place on the way to the Colosseum, where you can have a very good pizza at a small price.
We actually loved our stay here, nothing to comment on the place and we would definitely be going there again when we are in Rome.
