I’m looking at end of April 2018. When does the pool open each year? Same for the beach, when does that open each year?

It’s only taken 20 years, but we’ve managed to get back. What a lovely old style hotel. Perfectly situated with great gardens, smashing pool and stunning views. A room with a sea view is a must.
It’s the staff that that really stand out. Proper southern Italian hospitality.
Top quality restaurant and pool bar/food too.
Just book it. You’ll not be disappointed.

This hotel is 100% 5*. Outstanding service throughout. Rooms, restaurant, pool area all amazing but the attention to detail was superb. Staff eloquently dressed, silver service cutlery and China dinner service. Superb breakfast on a balcony with a view to die for. Peaceful yet central. Cannot wait to return 💕

Having arrived from a late night flight we were courteously welcomed by the hotel concierge. We arrived in our room to discover they had laid on a delicious snack which was very appreciated.

The hotel is traditional and values its heritage and history. All the staff are professional, courteous and friendly. Meals are taken either on the terrace or the beautifully decorated Four Seasons dining room.
The bedrooms have either a sea or garden view and are tastefully decorated.

We were invited to join the hotel in a 5 course gala dinner to celebrate "Ferragosto" which was held outside around the pool and was a fabulous night.

The hotel is situated close to the port for trips to Capri and the Amalfi coast and is within walking distance to the square and many shops situated in the alleys and walkways.
Meals were served by the staff who were very attentive to ensure all the guests were treated to a high standard of service. The 3 course dinner menu is changed everyday and constitutes three choices for each course.

Thanks to Marrinella, Emilio, Alessandro, Tony and "Jack" the Maitre'd for their excellent service and friendly manner. We hope the tie fitted!!!!

The pool and gardens allow some privacy between guests and are very well kept. Thanks to Pasqual for providing us with towels and sun lounges.

Also thanks to Rosanna on the Conceiarge desk for my daily Italian lessons.

Thank you for a fabulous stay and we look forward to "Torna a Surriento".
Grazie Mille.

These people are rude. Room 104 for my 25th wedding anniversary. Great view but all rooms on this side are below dining room with just okay food. A great hotel for menis friendly service. The Bell hop was the most accomodating of all the staff. If you ask for something such as Coffee and a slice of cake at the pool at night after 9pm they got annoyed. Dont be in the customer service business if you dont want to do it. Rude. Romano the manager kept my money he found in the safe. He said there was no way to get it back to me in The United States because it was in American dollars 300.00. I told him on the phone keep the money and use it towards the 111.00 charge to my room for bottles of water. Again this was impossible. So to put it as simple as possible Romano will not help you period. He kept my money and we say in Italian he is a Truffatorre Vergognoso (DISGRACEFUL CROOK) Go somewhere else it rates middle of the pack. They didn't make the mountain so you can go elsewhere for a great view and great customer service

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights while we explored the Amalfi coast. One thing I wish we were aware of is how easily you can walk to the hotel with your luggage from the ferry. We waited for a taxi and paid 15 euros for a one minute ride. Our mistake I guess for not further investigating.
We were blown away by the views when we entered the hotel. Not to mention the beautiful grounds. The hotel itself is very pretty, an old mansion by the sea.
The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Our first impression of the room was ok. Unfortunately we had many ants in our room. The next day we mentioned it to the front desk and after that we never saw one ant ever again. We had a pool view room. The sea view was sold out. I enjoyed our patio overlooking the pool and hills behind Sorrento. It was never noisy. We slept good.
A couple mornings it rained so we slept late, missing the breakfast but if you call down they will bring it to your room which was so nice! We never ate lunch or dinner at the hotel because there were just too many options nearby and we wanted to be surrounded by the culture of Sorrento instead of sitting inside the quiet hotel. The front desk staff has great suggestions for dinner and will call to make reservations. They arranged our day trip to Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. We really enjoyed that tour, I highly recommend.
All in all I would highly recommend this hotel for the service, location can't be beat, the bar was a highlight for drinks before dinner (best old fashions ever had), and views of the sea.

Dear Guest, Many thanks for taking the time to review us! It's so nice to know you had 6 terrific nights at Imperial Hotel Tramontano enjoying the atmosphere and amazing views...as well as the drinks! We're a few steps away from Sorrento's city center and its main attractions so, as you have seen, it is very easy to reach the port, the train station or even the main square. We apologize for the ants and are so glad to know you enjoyed your room at its best after this little problem. We look forward to welcoming you back at Tramontano, Kind Regards from Sorrento Imperial Hotel Tramontano - Guest Relations
