In many ways this is a fine hotel. The prices are reasonable, the rooms are large and clean, the breakfast is outstanding. Rooms facing the garden are quiet and they have balconies. However, the safe in my room had a flaky problem that the staff was unable to repair in several tries. To be fair, the problem was intermittent and hard to duplicate. Far worse, the Wifi is weak and frequently dropped the connection. It would be unacceptable for anyone who needs it for business.

Decent hotel located in the center of Bochum! Great breakfast buffet and ok bar! Hotel is on a busy street so try to get a room facing the back side! Beds a bit too hard for me! There is a parking garage just next to the hotel!

I would only advise staying in this hotel if you are ASSURED of a room on the garden side. Traffic noise in the rooms on the street side is intolerable if the windows are open (you are only 2-3 meters from a very busy road), and it is impossible to sleep with them closed if the weather is warm: no A/C. Even at night, with the windows closed, there is a regular roar of cars going by. In general, our experience was very unpleasant. There was no internet service in our room, only in the lobby, via an unsecured server, and that only after two days of constant assurances that the problem would soon be fixed. The towels were like sandpaper, the shower curtain was too short so the bathroom flooded, coffee in the rooms was instant, and the decor is early East Germany. Staying at this hotel was the worst part of an otherwise pleasant week in Bochum.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was clean and we were surprised at how big the room was. Nice, clean bathroom and a comfortable bed. There was zero support in the pillow and heads went straight to the mattress. For the second night we asked for an additional pillow each which was much better. We did not have breakfast as we thought it seemed expensive (€13) We walked a few minutes and there were a few cafes to have breakfast. The cost was half the price for both of us as the cost for one in the hotel. Friendly, helpful reception staff

Standard double room had all you would expect, clean bathroom, good shower and comfy bed.
Breakfast buffet was OK perhaps a bit pricey at 15 Euros but plenty of choice.
Ate in restaurant on one night and food/service was good as well as good value.
10 minutes walk into city centre (Bermuda Triangle).
Parking in hotel basement
Nothing exceptional but a good value stay.
