The Hotel Galleria is an average hotel in a historic building that has not been updated in some time. We had a family room on the first floor and it was somewhat cramped for five. We made do, since we weren't doing much other than sleeping there.

Breakfast was pretty good, although not all of the wait staff were friendly. 1st day was fine, but on the 2nd day we arrived to eat near to the kitchen closure time, all the seats were taken, and we were told we couldn't take food upstairs. We ended up eating outside.

It is close to a train station, so getting downtown would be easy via public transit. Parking is cramped but free. Hotel is not really near anything of interest other than the Munich Zoo.

Owner/Reception staff was friendly. My family slept fairly well, however overall I felt that it was way overpriced. I do think that one could find a good number of other accommodations at a lower price point and higher quality.

The staff was very friendly, the room ok, we were with 5. 3 single beds with sufficiënt springs. 1 small double bed with no springs. Small badroom which contained a note they were not allowed to extend it since the hotel was a protected historical building.

Good breakfast in a very cosy atmosphere.

Good place to go to, but not top quality.

The good: very clean
Good German Breakfast
The bad: the room was so, so, tiny that one of the two of us had to stay on the bed so the other could move
Worn, weird carpet and furniture.
Nothing easy to walk to.
The ugly: no hot water in the shower. Bathroom sink dripped. The room smelled. It was so cold we couldnt sleep.

I shared a room with my sister for two nights and it was fine. Both the bathroom and the room were very small, the furniture is dated and it could generally use an upgrade, but I much prefer quirky over standard chain hotels, so I would stay here again. The value for the money was appropriate. There is parking right in front which is key if you come by car. The road is super busy all night, so if you are bothered by road noise, ask for a room facing the back.
