Booked in last minute in the afternoon. Arrived at the hotel late on 9.11.19 room 114. The gentleman on reception was very nice and accommodating. I spoke a bit French he spoke a bit of English.
We We’re tired. The room was not very clean. The bathroom was fine. The bedding wasn’t new and I was a bit apprehensive but had some wine and hit the hay. In the morning we had cold showers!
No hot water which was bad. We mentioned this and
They apologised. Don’t go here for a long stay. 1 night is fine I’d say...
maybe pay more for a better room.
The hotel is situated in a great spot for exploring Paris but this is the best thing that can be said.
The lift has a mind of it's own which to be fair was quite entertaining but I would have been frustrated had I been in a rush.
The rooms are basic, no fridge, no kettle or drink making facilities. The bathroom had a shower cubicle that if I was to say was small would be an understatement - I'm quite small and I kept turning the power off with my hip every time I moved more than an inch.
Cleanliness is quite an important factor, the room was not clean and neither was my colleagues room. There were scuff marks on the wall, the carpet had hairs on that were not mine and the bathroom floor left the white bath mat black in places once it had been down.
Breakfast again can be described as basic it would not set you up for a days adventure unless you went round the cold buffet three or four times. The breakfast was the only time food or drink was served there isn't a restaurant or bar in the hotel.
I'll not be making a return trip here.
My husband and I have stayed in this hotel for 2 days. The room was nice and clean. Amazing view from the window to the building of local synagogue.
However we have faced few disadvantages:
1) When we came to the hotel for check-in there was nobody at the reception and we had to wait around 20 minutes while the room where we dropped our luggage earlier this day was opened so literally everyone could come and take our belongings.
2) Air conditioning is working badly. Last night it was very hot and we slept with opened window...
3) Breakfast is very modest. You will not see here vegetables and big choice of food.
You will see here cheese, few types of sausage, toasts, jam, cereal and... cockroaches. They were running across the table where food is situated and on the floor.
This hotel is basic, clean and convenient. It is near the Opera, walking distance away and Lafayette shopping centre. Hotel provides a nice daily breakfast and reception staff are friendly and helpful. Note the room has no bar fridge or kettle. There is a shared courtyard you can use.
This is a no frills hotel with friendly and English speaking front desk staff. The rooms are very small and basic but are sufficient and fair for the price.
The best attribute of the hotel is its convenient location. It's about 20 minutes walk from Gare du Nord train station and a similar time to the main shops at Lafayette. There are also many boutique shops, food stalls and markets within close walking distance.
If you are after convenience and just a simple bed to sleep on but you do not want to share a room with others in a hostel then this property ticks all the right boxes.
