Our room was very small, with limited but sufficient storage space for a one night’s stay. There were no bedside tables, but we were able to use a stool and a chair as substitutes. The bathroom was also small, but included an excellent shower-the best we had encountered in France. We were also pleased to find the BBC world service, for the first time on our holiday.
The breakfast was the least good (and with a limited choice) we had in France, but acceptable. The croissants were the smallest I had ever encountered, which meant you were eating too much crust. The chocolate cake looked good, but in practise was rather dry. However, my husband was pleased to be offered gluten free bread.
There was free parking, which we booked, on site.
Room basic , bed comfortable, cleaning inadequate as teabags, cups not cleared or replaced. Hairdryer not working. I was part of a large party & we were given a budget breakfast of one croissant, not even a plate, coffee & juice still in packets. After more money paid we had a good breakfast on 3rd day so it was possible, but attitude not helpful. 2 1/2 * at most..
Location OK & fairly quiet.
My husband and I stayed one night in Chartres to see the cathedral and explore the town. Hotel owners/managers could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. Room was spotlessly clean, not fancy but very comfortable. We did pay for the breakfast (10€) which had a good selection of items. The breads were especially good and fresh. Hotel is a short walk to city center and cathedral.
After 3 days in a tiny, noisy room in Paris this small hotel was a scrupulously clean, roomy facility, with on site parking. The management graciously allowed us to continue parking after check out inorder to return to attend Mass in "Our Blessed Mother's" home on earth (in the crypt) and do a bit more site seeing and shopping. Chartres is a wonderful "sacred" town in France.
We were cycling through France and received a very warm welcome at reception. Storage for the bikes was no problem. Hotel is centrally located and you can walk to anywhere from the front door. Bar out the front for a beer and whilst we didn't eat in the evening, the breakfast was good. The room was a little too hot and pretty small and unfortunately the window handle was broken, only discovered late on when we wanted to use it. Hence a mark down. But if you want somewhere well priced, to base yourself in the town this would be a good choice.take a look at the lighting show in town during the Summer. Spectacular and the lady at reception was kind enough to recommend it...
