We stayed here just before the lockdown for one night in their ‘garden room’. The room was warm and clean with a very spacious bathroom. The highlight was however a lovely ( and huge) breakfast served by a very cheerful and friendly server. The fresh berries and yoghurt in particular were delicious. We would not hesitate to return. Only downside being no parking, although we managed to park quite nearby.

This is now the 3rd time I have stayed here and as the headline says, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in St Andrews. I’ve reviewed it before, but I wanted to update. No matter what you’re there for, it has everything you need. It’s less than 5 minutes walk from the Old Course 1st hole and the main part of town.
The staff are attentive and very friendly and will help you with any queries. We stayed in a beautiful double room, with a luxurious bath, which is better than some of the larger hotels I’ve stayed in. The breakfast is fantastic and you can mix and match to your pleasure...brilliant and I’ll be back..again

We absolutely loved this place, great location. Lovely welcome by Peter, comfortable room which was very clean. Old beautiful building but secondary hoaxing made it very quiet. Also enjoyed an excellent breakfast - excellent stay thank you

Given a lovely big bedroom with large modern quality bathroom and towels, toiletries etc.. French doors and own outside sitting area very good too. Nice common sitting room if you fancy a change of scene, loads of DVD's to watch too if that's your scene and help yourself fruit (nice touch). Peter the host is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely, cooked fresh and good ground coffee, only comment is salmon would have been a nice choice on the menu! Would definately stay again.

If you can get booked for this fantastic guest house, do it. Peter is the most lovely host, with an easy manner and a can do attitude.
I booked for me and my mum as st andrews is a firm favourite for us and I wanted to treat mum to something special. Pilmour place didn't dissapoint, from the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The room was beautiful and felt really homely with an added touch of class, from the gorgeous toiletries to the fixtures and fittings this place is 100% the place to relax. Breakfast was incredible, we had fresh fruits, granola, freshly brewed coffee, iced water and then delicious French toast with bacon and maple syrup, all cokked to order. We will most definitely visit again and I cannot recommend this place enough.
