Stayed here for the weekend for 2 nights. For the money we paid it was excellent .The hotel was spotless clean from the room to the communal areas and found they had good covid regulations in place. All staff wearing ppe and sanitizing stations in place around the hotel. Room was small but perfect for what we needed it for. Location is perfect for the city centre and felt safe in the hotel with the covid safety procedures in place.
We have stayed here 2 times previously and had no issues so I’m not sure what happened this time.
We got put on top floor room 507. The room was covered in dust like it hadn’t been touched in weeks (With coronavirus going on this is obviously an issue). The bedside table was layered in dust. I myself have an allergy to dust so I was sneezing throughout the full stay. We put our fire stick in the back of the tv and the dust behind there was a joke. The wires were cluttered in dust, vile.
The room was small but not bad for the price. Woke up at 3am with the sound of cars zooming up and down the road which isn’t the hotels fault but it is something to take into consideration when booking.
I stayed for 2 nights at the Sleeperz hotel. Location is excellent a few mins walk from Newcastle central station. My room was a good size with a comfortable double bed, shower room and toilet but it was a little bit small and tended the wet most of the floor even when being careful. Kettle was provided as was ample amounts of tea, coffee & milk. Overall I was satisfied with my stay although I did find some staff were more engaging than others and rather than greet guests entering the building they would be talking amongst themselves. Value for money I thought was good but if I ever did visit Newcastle again I would look at other options.
Good location and lovely reception staff. Place needs a good clean and refresh as everything dated. Looks modern but closer inspection shows it needs work. Room wasn't great but did the job. Wasn't keen on receiving towels when you check in. I know it's a budget hotel but I think its unhygienic when you have luggage too and your going in lift up to your room but.apparently its covid regulations . Not sure about that. There was sick in stairway for 2 days not sure that's covid regulations. Cleaners maybe need a refresher course. Location is good as just around corner from train station.cental for everything there is a Weatherspoons pub just 4 min walk good place to start the night off. If it's just a place to sleep then this is ideal .Reception staff are really lovely and helpful.
Arrived yesterday. Parked car at station. Went to hotel knowing it was early. Asked girl to store our luggage so we could go for lunch.was refused saying staff wont touch bags as covid. Fair enough,I was happy to put the bag myself in storage and pick it up myself. No. Walked back to station and put in car. Booked a queen room. Size of a postage stamp. However it was very clean and comfy bed. No hairdryer again because of covid. I didn't take mine as room was advertised with one.large windows in room however no option to open.went for breakfast to be greeted by. Sorry I didn't get the ladies name. Red hair glasses. Lovely welcome.NOT. asked room number then said we were there before 8.30 so we would have to wait. It was 8.20. I got the feeling the lady didn't want to be there. Shame really. Chef was lovely. Spanish guy. Couldn't have done enough for the guests.please thank him. Breakfast was nice. Other than staff it was a nice stay
