Overall was a good experience with the exception of the pull out couch which was not useable. If there are more than 2 people don't get this unit (371) or try to upgrade to a 2 bedroom. It was clean and quiet with good amenities and close to lots of shopping if needed.
The room was outdated and the pull out couch was uncomfortable for my kids to sleep on. There was alot of space and the kitchen was a fair size. For kids, there were alot of things to do (basketball, tennis, swimming). Nice scenery. You need a car to enjoy things.
This a quiet resort well located to most activities we were interested in, would have liked a ceiling fan in bedroom. Unit numbering system a bit confusing, took us longer than it should to find our unit initially.
Mountain View villas is an okay spot if all you are wanting is a place to eat and sleep - A little rustic but mostly clean except for the blinds in the bedroom which were nasty. The area around Collingwood is filled with things to do so you do not have to spend much time there. The kitchen is set up with enough utensils etc that you can cook your own meals (which we did). The resort pool at the Golf and Country club is wonderful as we were on a girlfriend week and enjoyed the 18+ age limit - a family could walk to the rec centre (about 5 minutes) and enjoy that pool and club house area which had lots for kids. The internet was non existent - but available at the golf course or the hotel lobby. Loud air conditioners outside made sitting and relaxing on the patio area more difficult but we just talked louder. I had been here about 6 years ago in March so was nice to visit during the summer month - spoke to an owner who said likely selling this complex which explains why not a lot of $$ going into updates.
We stayed here last year and enjoyed the location and the quiet of the area. Decided to return this year with my parents and stay here again with our timeshare exchange. Since we visited last year there have been improvements to the units -it seems they are updating slowly. The mattresses in the bedrooms are much more comfortable and the kitchen accessories are plentiful. The office got us units right next to each other which made it a lot easier. We were running late for checkin and called -they held it for us as we were so close. During our stay we did experience a problem but maintenance came that day, then again a day later and followed up that it was taken care of. We loved having the space to spread out and the kitchen to cook. Showers had hot water. Short walk to the hotel that has the bar and pool (cold by our Arizona standards) but had fun anyway. The wifi has improved from last year, but is still slow and not up to streaming. We love the location of MVV. You're a few minutes from town and a few minutes from the open road. Will return again in a few years.
