This is an impossible review to write. What can I possibly say that would add to the long list of 5 star reviews that La Era has already earned? But our stay was so exceptional that I am determined to try.
We visited during these terrible times of Covid and discovered a beautiful hotel where we felt perfectly safe, hosts who made us feel perfectly welcome and walks amongst olive trees that were perfectly beautiful (and so far from the madding crowd that masks became optional).
The views from La Era are so stunning that they are hard to believe. We had dinner and breakfast at our table for two in the courtyard and watched the sunset and the sunrise over the mountains (separated only by a good night's sleep). The food was excellent and all proudly presented as organic and locally sourced.
We have travelled a lot through Spain and have stayed in many hotels but our stay at La Era was the best. After 30 years of marriage and three grown-up kids, the years fell away and we were on honeymoon once again. After dinner we walked back to our room up the beautiful stairway and along hallways which were lit by candles which had been carefully placed by Davinia and Raul despite the fact that we would be the only guests who would pass that way that evening. A testament to their extraordinary attention to detail.
We will be back.
I know that many reviews end with those words but we are sure of it.
We will be back.

Divinia and Raul are perfect hosts. The place was beautiful and clean, the room was lovely and the food delicious and healthy. We will definitely be back! Lots to do nearby or just sit and relax by the pool and enjoy the town.

We really liked the hosperdia. It was the best place where we stayed in Spain! The room is really nice and the bathroom as well. The building is really nice and very romantic with candles at night . The owners are very friendly and had great tips for what to do and where to eat. Breakfast was delicious and all home made and fresh. Nice fruit, juice and bread. We would love to stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights but really would have loved to stay longer, the breakfasts were fresh, authentic and local. Davina made us feel extra special by getting some vegan treats for me and my wife. Our room was spacious with a bath in the washroom, something I always appreciate after a days hiking. Davina had lots of hints on things in the local area and we had a great experience investigating the hidden waterfalls and exploring the local iberian and roman ruins. There are a couple of great restaurants in town that Davina recommended, we would have loved to try the set meal at La Era but we didnt get an opportunity. Hopefully next time!

We don't leave reviews very often but we such a sensational stay at La Era that we felt we had to. Davinia and Raul are perfect hosts, with a wonderful welcome and plenty of advice on places to visit, eat and even best places to park. We stayed four nights, had delightful, fulsome breakfasts outside every day, and ate at La Era in the evening twice. Raul's cooking is really terrific. The whole vibe of the place is perfect. The design and decor is utterly charming, and the wonderful touches - free fresh lemonade in the lobby, dozens of candles leading you up the stairs to your room at night, make it a truly lovely place to stay. We can't recommend it highly enough.
