This was our second visit to hotel sonar bangla situated in Tarapith. First time was fine. Second Time wasn't. Drove a car to the hotel. I wanted my driver to clean the car in the morning as we had a long journey ahead. The driver told me he needed a bucket for cleaning. I told the room staff to provide him with one, who instead instructed me to contact the receptionist. I went there, told him I needed a bucket for cleaning my car. He tells me hotel guests aren't allowed to be given a bucket to. I told him what about the person who have car and need cleaning. He told me there are car cleaning people assigned to do the task. I went outside to enquire about the same. The cleaning person demands Rs.150/- for normal cleaning of the car without any shampoo or anything. He would just pour a bucket of water and be done with it. A 150 Rs for a task which my is as simple as cleaning. These people who run this hotel are purposefully extorting cash from there guests who aren't exactly living free at the hotel. Who do these people think of themselves. I told the receptionist I would report the issue on tripadvisor. He was least bothered. He told me to go ahead. The management at the hotel needs to be looked into. Hotel in fine, the people running it is not. I will never again stay here. These people don't know how to treat guests. I've never seen a situation as bad as this one where no one is least bothered about you. All they care about is money.
