Our memories of this wonderful B&B experience brought us back for a week in May.
Charming hosts Guy and Martine endeavor to make your stay comfortable and fulfilling with suggestions for touring according to your tastes.
Breakfasts include homemade jams to die for, baked breads, croissants, yogurt, cheeses
Dinners with other guests in the great vaulted dinning room were among the best of our memories. 4 course meals are delicious and beautifully presented Our hosts create an amenable social atmosphere for all. Guy's cooking is superb: varied and refined. Martine is one step ahead of what you might need. Rooms are comfortable and look onto a small garden-perfect for relaxing after a day of touring. Excellent value
Perfectly located for visiting major sites:,La Couvertoirade & other Templar villages, Le Cirque de Navacelles, Gorges de la Vis, Canyon Dourbie, Millau, Pézenas, Béziers, the beaches, Montpellier, St Guilhem-le-Desert, Abbaye de Valmagne, Roquebrun's Mediterranean Garden, Olargues, Cirque de Mourèze, Vallée de Buèges, St Martin de Londres, etc.

Caylar is beautifull place to bring the night over if in the way. The B&B is a nice building, just outside the center place, walking distance. Price is expensive for what you get. The room was not totally clean, dirty floor. The owners don´t like kids, that was clear due the attitude of them. No facilities for kids are present. Breakfast is ok, but simple in a little place, sharing table elbow to elbow with the rest of the guests. The Bernese Mountain Dogs of owners walk around during breakfast in the same room, without asking your opinion. Beautiful dogs by the way. In the same village you can get cheaper prices.

Thanks for your evaluation which we would like to comment as follows. On reservation you knew perfectly we have no specific equipment for children. This is not a reason to mention that we don't like children. Mentioning the room is not clean is just lying, as we attach a lot of importance to have the rooms in perfect condition. Breakfast (as well as dinner) is served in vaulted room from the 17th century and is very much appreciated by our guests. Of course, when you take breakfast with children on the knees, it is probably not a very comfortable situation. With regard to the dogs, they are mentioned (with photographs) on the website. We don't have the obligation to ask permission to the guests to let them walk around in the house. And last but not least : sure in the village you find lodging at cheaper price. Even much cheaper. Maybe you should try this next time. Just to see the difference.

A charming B&B in the town of Le Caylar and close to La Couvertoirade and other points of interest. The dinner is quite incredible and the best food for miles around. A lovely little garden outside your room is ideal for cocktails or morning coffee.

Another glowing recommendation for Martine and Guy's place! La Caylor is lovely with loads to do in and around - on arrival Martine suggested that we night like to visit a nearby village built by the Knight's Templar. We did and it was superb!

Dinner with Martine, Guy and the other guests was amazing! We started with a lovely aperitif and then four courses of delicious food prepared by Guy (a fantastic chef). Their beautiful vaulted dining room was a great place to enjoy this gastronomic experience! Sitting and chatting with other guests was just lovely - a real experience that made our holiday!

Thank you Martine and Guy making us feel so welcome! Susie & Jim
