Carlota is a charming art house. The place is well decorated with local handcrafts. The room is spacious and the bed made me fell like home. I just thought the room was cold, without sun light. There was a heater, but the point is that the room could be warmer. Despite all COVID-19 cares, the staff welcomes in the very Mexican warm style. They booked us a tour, called taxi, gave information about the city and offered breakfast a bit earlier before our tour. At our arrival, they desinfected not only our lugage but also our clothes. The breakfast was delicious, including fruits, homemade yogurt, hot drink and a hot dish.
Carlota is a bit far from the main square, in a 10-15 minutes walk. I felt very secure in Oaxaca and the neighborhood is charming, but the area was empty at night.
I had a wonderful time at La Casa Carlota, the staff was very helpful, courteous and friendly.
Breakfast is served at 8:30 am (wish it was earlier), however it was deliciously healthy.
The room was very comfortable.
We spent a week at Casa Carlota in Feb/March 2020. It is a small, 5 room hotel/BnB a 15-20 min walk from the Zocalo. The rooms are small but clean with comfortable King Size beds. No tv. Good showers. There is a rooftop deck which we didn't use. Breakfast from 8:30 - 10 is basic but is included in the price and nice to have to start the day. The 3 people who work there are extremely friendly and helpful.
Quaint bed and breakfast within walking distance to downtown Oaxaca. The room was spacious and well appointed with wifi and A/C. The rooftop terrace has amazing views of the city, and is a nice place to relax. The staff were very accomodating, and the breakfast is great.
We were so impressed with the staff who cooked and served our breakfast each day and helped us in so many ways. The room was clean and well appointed. There is a lovely roof terrace which we utilized at all times of day. This Casa is within walking distance of many Oaxaca attractions. We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed every minute. You can't do better!!
