Booked a three night break as it was familiar to us, just to explore our usual haunts since last year.

Accommodation somewhat refurbished, seemed like new touch sensor door locks & new bathrooms. Precautions were in place although our room wasn't ready until gone 3pm, due to cleaning backlog.

Room on ground floor was hot, didn't drop below 24°C even at night with pedestal fan on & (limited) window opening - but it was about 27°C outside in the day - glorious September weather....

Beefeater was good, but limited menu, now expanded.
Needed to book both breakfast & dinner including time slot.
Track & trace in operation too.
Staff were good too.

Stayed one night & took advantage of the meal deal offer so excellent value for money. Receptionist on arrival was friendly & informative. My telephone request the day before for a quiet room had been arranged & we were given a room in the new extension overlooking the rear car park. Large free standing fan in room was a bonus as no air con. Several hand sanitizer stations in reception & facemasks encouraged as you walk around corridors. Our evening meal & breakfast at the Twelve Bells Beefeater opposite was lovely. Very friendly staff & excellent Covid measures in place.

Staff member was quite rude and unwelcoming on arrival. Room did not have aircon and it was almost unbearable to stay in. Room was clean enough, shower wasn’t great as very weak. Check-in/out was straight forward but that’s about the only positive

Very pleased from check in to check out. Everything was in place and organised for everyone’s safety...
Room was lovely and spotlessly clean. Restaurant was equally as good, screens between tables and felt very comfortable.
Booked an evening meal and breakfast, food was good. The only negative was at breakfast, there was only one person serving at the tables and it was quite busy so we had to wait quite a while before our order was taken. Absolutely not the fault of the girl but, in these times two servers are really needed needed, we ended up leaving 30 minutes later than we intended.
Will definitely use here again, but hopefully the staff shortage at breakfast will be sorted...

Spacious comfortable room and bed. Extremely clean, staff very welcoming and helpful. Good quiet location leading to a peaceful nights sleep. 12 o’clock check out gives you plenty of time to sort out your day. Would use again.

Hi Christina Unfortunately this hotel doesn't have any adjoining rooms. If you contact the hotel with your reservation number, we can request for your rooms to be next to eachother if this helps. Kind regards Elaine
