On arrival we were pleasantly surprised when we were given a free upgrade. We were now in a spacious deluxe suite on the upper floor with a private jacuzzi and a breathtaking view of the caldera and the villages of Fira and Oia. An amazing feeling to spend a few pleasant hours there and relax during the mild nights / evenings either with the sun setting or under the starry sky.

The entire hotel complex, be it the room, pool, spa, fitness or dining area, is very modern, clean and attractive, you feel very comfortable during your stay. The very nice staff also contributes to that. A big praise goes out especially to Stella, who welcomes the guests to the spa. She was really incredibly friendly, funny and it was a pleasure talking to her. Of course also the massage itself was really amazing and perfect. We can only recommend paying a visit to the spa during your stay.

The hotel was very well prepared for Corona, and the staff implemented it very well. Upon arrival we checked in using our mobile phones and also the breakfast we could order one day in advance. The next morning we could either enjoy it in the dining area, in the room, or probably next to the pool. The breakfast buffet contained a large selection of very tasty, high quality and freshly prepared food.

The location of the hotel is also very nice. The complex is right next to the road, but you hardly notice it, since in Akrotiri - unlike Fira or Oia - it's rather quiet, you can relax very well, be it by the pool or on the terrace. Also because of Corona there weren't that many guests in the hotel, which is why there were no problems with noise.

We had an amazing stay at Acroterra Rosa and recommend everyone to spend their next Santorini stay here.

I took my daughter as part of her 21st birthday present and have had an amazing week. She loved Santorini and the staff at this hotel were caring, respectful, professional and looked after us so well.

George the Manager was delightful and it had that family feel to it. The staff made a great team, from the restaurant staff to the maintenance men, they never walked passed without a greeting. The reception team were knowledgeable and recommended various trips and places of interest. They also have transportation that is better value than regular taxis.

We had a suite with a jacuzzi overlooking the pool and the caldera. The view was amazing and to wake up to that sight every morning felt very special. The suite was roomy, comfortable and modern. Fluffy bathrobes, soft towels, slippers and gorgeous smelling products in the bathroom. Very refreshing to have such a powerful shower too!

On the first day we visited Fira and Oia and of course stayed until sunset. It’s everything you see in the media and initially I thought perhaps I should have booked there, but after several visits, seeing how busy it gets and observing the lack of privacy to the holiday makers staying in villas and hotels with infinity pools and bathing decks, we were glad we chose Acroterra. When I visit again I would do 2 nights maximum in Oia and would have no hesitation in rebooking Acroterra. It’s very easy to go by public bus which the stop is a few minutes walk away. Cost €1.80 to Fira, change buses to Oia €1.60. Jeep hire reasonable too.

Due Covid-19 the buffet breakfast was changed to al a carte where you pre order the night before. Olda is one of the chefs and the presentation of delicious dishes cooked was quite special. If you wanted more, no problem. See my photos.

The cleanliness was impressive and every staff member took this seriously to ensure we are all as safe as possible. The pool and surrounding area kept very clean and the sun beds disinfected after use.

We were lucky that the AeyeoSpa opened a few days after we arrived and we had a treatment each. Back, neck and scalp massage and facial. Ilia, our therapist was a delight and my daughter said it was the best facial ever as she had her neck and shoulders massaged too. I requested a firm massage and have to say it was one of the best massages I’ve had. Worth every penny!

Our thanks to George and his team (Alex, Tikas, Katerina, ilia and lovely lady on reception)for helping to make our holiday memorable and safe.

Our junior studio was excellent. Clean, comfortable and and roomy. Whilst no sea view we looked over to the village of Akrotiri and the Venetian Fort and onto and towards the little chapel and mini ampitheatre in the middle of the hotel. Parking for our car. Breakfast was included with a good selection of cereals, fruits, pastries, cheese and cold meats as well as cooked. Dinner was expensive when compared to the local tavernas but it was enjoyed on our day of arrival. We enjoyed the pool and surrounds but it was cold!!

If I were to rate this hotel, I would give 6 stars. our room had a verandah that over looks the water... the other door has a private pool for our room. Very nice and immaculately clean. I have been to a few so called 5 star hotels where daily hotel cleaning was 2 star. Acroterra Rosa cleans thoroughly. We left our room door opened at night to get natural air but the breeze that night was quite strong so white sand from the was blown into the room all over. By the time we came back the next day, the entire white furniture was Snow White again and floor cleaned and mopped with nice scent to the room. The complimentary breakfast is fresh and we had our omelette made to taste. language is a bit of challenge for the workers in the kitchen but may speak slowly to get message across. The service is great. Guava juice and peach nice....

its about 2 euros by Public bus to the city of Fira, the bus stop is a walking distance, Now , its easy to catch the bus during the week like 15 mins wait but weekend was about 45 mins wait. the hotel charges 20 euros if you are not able to wait for the bus.

It is a joke that they even call this a 5 star hotel! This was the worst experience of my life. Their pool waters are infected and my hair literally turned GREEN after I enter their pool!! The hotel manager is the worst and will not even refund my money!!
I'm attaching pictures below!!
For your own safety DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!
