We arrived around midnight (our international train was late) and there was a prostitute with her patron chatting in the lobby. First thing you notice turning off the lighting the room is there's about a cm of light all around the door. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the elevator and people peeing next door. It was all something we could ignore except being awaken at 3am by banging doors, people shouting and laughing out loud. This went on until 4h30 at least. It was impossible to sleep and it was only a Thursday. The next morning we booked another hotel and left (the guy at the reception didn't look surprised at all) as I didn't want to risk barely sleeping though the weekend. I've stayed in dorms and worst looking rooms than this and have never had to change hotels before.
Did not hear any blaring music or yelling as written in some reviews. Did not have any disturbance. Stayed for a night. Quite near to bus stand/bus drop off area - 10 mins. Room was small but ok. Stayed for a night. Budget no frills hotel. Window opened to some buildings...not much of a view...but one does not stay in hotels much if you are a tourist...they have kept our luggage for half a day after check out and did not charge anything extra...you can walk from the hotel and reach Grand Place in half an hour or less...Receptionists during day and night were helpful. No complaints. Price was fair and one of the cheapest in mid summer.
Shall not recommend for family... stay was ok.. place is in good locality
you can expect free wifi but it looks like lodge rather than hotel..
Actual pics in sites are different and room condition (spl bathroom) was not good.
Did not bother to compalin as this was just a question for 1 night!
I was aware this was a budget hotel but I was not aware that the room had no window.
After complaining I was given another room with a window on a narrow internal shaft closed on top. So , not much difference with the previous room as there was no possibility to change the air in the room.
I think that hotels should not be allowed to operate under these conditions as clean air is an essential hygienic requirement.
At least it should be compulsory for hotels to clearly specify that the room is without windows in the same manner they specify if the room is en-suite or if they have AC.
If I knew the room was without window I wouldn't have booked.
DO NOT STAY HERE! NOT SAFE FOR ANYONE, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN - Located in an area that is known to be dangerous for tourists. (SEE ATTACHED PHOTO FOR EVIDENCE)
-Drug paraphernalia and rusted razor blades found adjacent to the elevator, just 10 feet from the check in desk.
-Arrived at 02:00 from train station, and was woken up at 09:00 by construction in the hallway outside my room, accompanied by employees blasting music. Once I left my room, the workers were surprised to see that there was someone staying in the hotel and immediately stopped everything.
-Stains on bedding.
-Blood stains on the shower floor.
-Spoke with management to address the concerns and was called "crazy" for expecting a clean and safe stay.
-Provided option to move to "another building" due to the issues I mentioned, but was given a room across the hall from my previous room.
Entered the hotel with minimal expectations due to low price, but was hopeful due to "outstanding" rating on Hotels.com. I needed a location to rest each night between my tourist activities and expected nothing more, but instead experienced the worst service and hotel I have ever seen.
