We were a bit worried after reading reviews but needn’t have been. 4 families all camping and we had an amazing time. We found all the staff lovely and helpful and lady in cafe went above and beyond for us after the storms damaged one of the tents. We were all pitched together and the views over the sea are perfect. Sunsets beautiful. Showers and toilets were always clean. Kids loved the pool. The club house was great when the weather was not good on an evening although very dated, staff were friendly and chatty, spent a few nights in there with all the children and always had a good night. We usually avoid places with club houses or entertainment but this was very low key.
Some of the group ventured down to the cove and said it was the most beautiful beach but not an easy route up or down with very steep steps so with young children a lot didn’t visit which was a shame because we would have loved to spend some time there.
Overall a really well kept site with amazing sea views and sunsets from your tent. Lovely staff and we all had a great time.
Came on a family camping holiday for a week. The owner was rude, unhelpful and a particularly nasty man. Within 10 minutes of arrival he’d ruined our holiday. He obviously doesn’t want people there as his site was half empty in the middle of August. Tennis court that is advertised is so over grown and unusable, the swimming pool is Baltic cold. The site has lovely views which is the only positive. Will never return to this site we will use our usual one as it’s perfect. After speaking to locals the owner is known for his attitude/unhelpfulness. He has the audacity to charge the most in the area too. Save your money and go to watermouth valley or watermouth cove instead
This was our 4th visit to Napps & I’m sure it won’t be our last as we love the place. The views are beautiful, we loved watching the sunset from our camping chairs. The shower and toilet blocks are great. Our kids loved the pool & evening entertainment. The bar staff were lovely and very friendly. The location of the site was perfect & we found lots of lovely beaches and plenty of things to do during our weeks stay.
Massive camp site but really quiet in August. Close to a lovely beach but steep steps to get to/from. Our pitch was smaller than made sense but we made it work.
The shop doesn’t open and we were told that WiFi only extends around reception/bar.
Evening entertainment for kids. Pool was okay for kids (ie heated a bit but not enough for old bones)
Stunning sea views. Very exposed site so be aware if camping. Family toilet block was fine and water hot and readily available.
I have just returned from a 10 night stay at Napps. There was two caravan's in our party.
As many of us do I read all the reviews below and was a little worried to see all the negative points raised, so I was not sure what to expect.
Follow a 7hr drive we arrived around midday, and was met at reception by the owners. They greated us with a warm welcome and explained everything about the site. We mentioned that we were going out for dinner and the recommended a few places worth a visit.
We then set off to our pitches which were fully serviced on the top tier. The site is situated on tiered levels which give excellent views.
After we set up it was time to visit the pool to cool off. The pool was heated and a good size. I'm not sure what people expected, but it was clean and the kids loved it.
The toilet blocks where clean, tidy and the kids actually preferred them to using the shower etc in the van.
We met the owner on several occasion and I can say he was always chatty, and friendly.
We visited the bar which we found great and the staff where friendly and chatty.
To be perfectly honest, I couldn't see any of the negative points mentioned in other reviews and can only speak from personal experience.
A clean, friendly beautiful site with excellent views.
If I had to be negative about anything, I would say the pitch sizes where a little tight.
We will definitely be visiting again.
