We stayed here for one night whilst we attended a wedding in St. Andrews and it's a beautiful old house with real character. We had a lovely comfortable room with a bathroom down the hall. Breakfast was excellent and our host couldn't do enough for us. Would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to experience a lovely quiet location with plenty to do in the area.

We visited Tayport for a family Christening and needed a base for 2 days.

We are so glad we chose Kirkton Barns! James and his father Rory are outstanding hosts, delivering the epitome of Scottish Hospitality.

Their home is beautiful, a true gem. We stayed in the family room (spread across two floors), which had everything you needed and more, including but not limited to microwave, fridge and hob, along with the obligatory tea and coffee making facilities. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the shower hot and the towels fluffy.

Breakfast was a wonderful affair! You eat in the stunning dining room, with all guests gathered around one lovely big table. With guests from what felt like every corner of the world, conversation was really interesting! The spread was impressive and the cooked options delightful - good quality ingredients, cooked well. Whilst not intended to be a test, James passed with flying colours, cooking deliciously perfect scrambled eggs for me and poached for my husband.

Our daughter, age 11, just adored the whole experience and was over the moon to be introduced to the four legged members of the family, Cocoa, Shadow and Gertie ( as was I to be honest!). Please do be assured that if animals are not your cup of tea, I don't suppose you would even know they are there (my daughter and I sought them out!)

It's been a long time since I have taken the time to write such a long review, but on this occasion, nothing less will do.

If you are looking for an anonymous chain hotel, this is not the place for you. But if you want a warm welcome, a comfy bed and a hearty breakfast in the most lovely of surroundings, you'll love it!

We were just on a quick trip for the weekend and stayed here overnight. The house was just gorgeous. Loved the room we stayed in. The view out the windows of the deer in the field and listening to the birds singing was a great way to wake up in the morning. :D A great selection for breakfast too. James and his Dad, (sorry I can't remember your name :( ) were so nice and friendly and helpful. If we ever make another journey to Scotland we will definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything. Liz and Mick.

Nice, clean old fashioned guest house. This is someones house with all the family photos and memories around.
The farm is next door and a noisy machine was on most the time. also not that it mattered but the car got very dusty from the farm. Two gentlemen (father and son) run the establishment and were very helpful. Everyone sits at one large dining table for breakfast and everything you could want was there. Cooked breakfast was good. We thought it was a bit pricey for what it was but the room we had was large, warm and cozy if not in need of some modernisation.

Just back from staying one night on the last day of walking the Coastal Path. Our host Rory was lovely and very helpful. The house is beautiful and our room was huge and comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer.
