I stayed at Schade for 5 nights. The staff is very helpful when you need something. The rooms are very clean and nicely equipped for the traveler. The room is spacious with a large shower. Lots of room to put your clothes and any other items. The restaurant makes a great authentic meal. Large portions and fresh! Breakfast is plentiful and enjoyable. Lots to choose for an early morning meal.

First things first -- this place is very hard to find, even with GPS. Drove right past it 2-3 times without realizing it, and the iPhone was telling us it was on a different street.
Very modern and up to date inside. But, this is a rural location -- the stench of pig manure within a half mile or so was overwhelming when we first arrived. It dissipated after a while. The balcony in our room overlooked a field of fresh-mown hay.
The windows have no screens, and there's no air conditioning, so if you don't want bugs, don't stay here. The bathroom in our room had a very bad smell.
The beds - typical German arrangement, with two singles pushed together instead of one double or queen size. As a result, the beds easily slide apart, and the mattresses slide on their base. My wife fell on the floor when she rolled onto 6-8 inches of mattress that were completely off the base.
The food in the restaurant was excellent.
There must be very few English-speaking tourists that visit this area. Only one person on the hotel staff speaks any English, the food menus have very limited English descriptions, and we could only find one English language brochure for any of the local tourist attractions, museums, etc.

It was a short stay for one night lodging. We visited the restaurant and had a delicious meal. The room was booked online without any hiccups and everything was arranged and awaited us. A refreshing sleep and some good breakfast with a nice spread of food later, we were good to go.

I stayed here during a business trip and cannot be happier following my visit, I stayed in the 'family room' which was really very good however the bar and restaurant was great so I spent hardly any time in my hotel room. Highly recommended, but please do not visit, I want to keep it to myself.

The hotel is very newly built in a very quite surrounding. The Bavaria hills give rest after a long trip. The last room available which I got, the famliy room, is the biggest of the hotel. The bathroom is luxurous and equipped with a superb shower.
