Well equipped, spacious 2 bedroom flat on farm. Home made rusks supplied with coffee and tea. Lovely garden with gazebo. The host is very friendly and accommodating. A good place to stay to experience small town hospitality.

In 2013 we stayed in a cottage a few km away from the main house, an experience we will never forget in our lives. Kraaifontein if you like peace and quietness.
The breakfast is on the farm where we stayed now, since we were two couples on this trip. The appartment with two bedrooms in the main building with a lush garden is perfect to stay for a family with kids or good friends exploring together. The breakfast is as we remembered , fresh home baked bread and simply top.
All in all great value for money. Only thingthat was a bit dissappointing is that they used to make diner as weel on request, best sheep we ever ate. They made up by handing us some lamb chops for the next braai. A must stay when in Nieuwoudsville.

The apartment (converted granny flat with two big bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, lounge, TV, braai facilities, garage) is huge and we were very comfortable.

The only minor downside is that there's no view from the apartment.

Our host, Heidi, was very friendly - as were her dogs and cats. The garden is lovely and Heidi welcomed us to walk around the lovely bird-filled garden.

Braai wood was supplied and Heidi even brought some firelighters and matches in case we didn't have our own.

The farm is 5km north of Nieuwoudtville, close to the Nieuwoudtville waterfall, the Quiver Tree Forest - and of course Nieuwoudtville itself, where we visited the Hantam Botanical Gardens, which were also well worth visiting.

We'd have prefered to stay in the cottage, which I believe has far more character, but we certainly couldn't complain that we weren't very comfortable. Highly recommended.
