Lives in Brisbane
Since Apr 2009
50-64 year old female
I grew up in Papua New Guinea and lived there until I was in my early 30s. I travelled extensively while growing up, my parents had the travel bug and took the family on many interesting trips. These days, I'm a Primary School relief teacher. I love travel of all kinds from camping to luxury resorts. We have travelled to many parts of the world.

We enjoyed two meals here. It is very quiet and the food and service were great. The host was very welcoming - and chased us down the street when we left a jacket behind.
Great food, good service. We enjoyed many meals here, and found the choices great -we're vegetarian.
Loved this place - ate lunch here on many occasions and found each dish we tried was excellent.
We went here every day - for their coffee and home made cookies. LOVE this place, don't miss it for your morning coffee.
Best in Ubud, great prices, great rooms, great staff, great breakfast. We've stayed here on many occasions and it's always fantastic.
Outstanding food and service. Love this place. The menu is really unique.
This place is sensational. The food was really beautiful, the service was great.
A simple little place but the food is very good - and very reasonably priced.
This is a really sensational cooking school. The instructor and her husband are hilarious, the teaching is fantastic, the whole experience is not to be missed. They take you to the market first so that you understand where the food is from, then you have a trip to the rice fields before ending up in the village. A great day.
This was awesome. The music, the dancing, the setting, all fantastic. The downside was the horrible planks we had to sit on!!!!!
The setting is really beautiful and the food is good, although expensive. The thing we really don't like about this restaurant is the arrogance of the staff. We will never go there again.
LOVE this place - although it wasn't as good this time as the year before. The restaurant looked a little bit tired, the service was slow and the food was 3 star instead of 5 star. Still, it's worth the walk.
We like Three Monkeys - but it is expensive. The staff are excellent, the setting is awesome and the food is great.
We enjoyed this one year and then went again the next year and it was awful. The bikes had not been properly maintained so changing gears was an impossibility, the food was cold instead hot - and the owner was abusive. Steer clear of this one.
This was really fantastic. The bikes were well maintained, the guide was awesome and the food was great.
When staying in Ubud, go out for a walk through the forest in the very early morning. You won't have to pay - and the monkeys are much better behaved as they are still waking up.
This is OK - a pleasant way to spend a day but not really all that interesting. We hated all the hawkers poking things in our faces.
This was a beautiful place, well worth a visit. It is peaceful and the gardens are gorgeous.
A cheap, clean place, basically for backpackers. Convenient location, good breakfast.
Another cheap place, mainly catering for young backpackers. Great breakfast. Could be cleaner
