The Washington D.C. Metro area has been my home for the last three years. I am originally from the UK but now live in the U.S. with my wife and daughter. I love to travel and am always keen to get up close to new cultures and foods. Only local knowledge can unlock those truly special travel experiences.

A small aquarium located away from the boardwalk and a fun place to explore for younger kids in particular. While there are no large animals here, it's a cool place to check out fish, rays, crabs, amphibians, reptiles, and more. You can even touch the sharks and feed the stingrays!
The 27 holes at this indoor, glow-in-the-dark mini golf course are a fun way to kill some time if the weather is bad or if it's simply too hot to be outside.
The Pier is the best place to browse high-end stores in Atlantic City. It also remains an iconic boardwalk destination, despite the many changes that the area is experiencing. Offering a pleasant mall experience with excellent ocean views at the end of the pier, the shopping center makes for a quick, one-stop-shop should you need to pick up any extra clothing during your trip.
While IMAX screens are not that hard to come by these days, they are always a fail-safe way to keep the kids entertained. Head to Tropicana's five and a half story-high screen to catch the latest releases up close and personal, some in 3D!
Many people visit Atlantic City specifically for its iconic boardwalk. Here, the smell of the ocean, the sea breeze, the quirky souvenir shops selling saltwater taffy and funnel cake, and the street entertainers all make for an enjoyable wander along the strip — whatever your age.
Central Pier is the quintessential game arcade for kids of all ages, and another great all-weather activity.
This classic amusement park features a whole host of wholesome rides, from a pirate ship to a Ferris wheel. It's part of the charm of Atlantic City!
Though Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museums can be found around the world, this one features a 'Laser Maze Challenge' where you can test you skills at climbing through a web of lasers. Yet another all-weather plan!
