I am hoping to visit in May 2018 with the New York sightseeing pass (bought in March). Does it allow to skip the line? Do I need to convert it to an entrance ticket? Are there any restrictions (bag size, etc.)?
Please advise. Thanks.
We had the New York Pass and we did not need to get a ‘ticket’ at the Empire State Building. We bypassed ticket queues and presented our passes which they scanned and let us in.
It won't allow you to skip the line. I went at night and there was no line really. You will need to convert it to an actual admission ticket. You can bring bags. You'll go through the same you would of them as you would going through the airport.
As another traveler said we went at night in December & didn't have a long wait at all. I bought the jump the line pass & wouldn't have needed it. The longest wait was going through security. As mentioned above it is like the airport screening where you have to show your bag. Then go through the detector. Safe travels and enjoy your trip.
Book to convert it to a ticket and the queue well there wasn’t much of one and we did this during the day. I think like the rest you can pre-book dates and like the rest go to a priority queue but sometimes that is just as long. No restrictions on bags etc, but all are airport scanning machines enjoy and have lots of fun
