In several US cities, the hop on/off tour buses provide ear buds so travelers can listen to one of 8 selected languages. Is on-bus narration of the sights provided? Is this narration pre-recorded audio using ear buds, or is it given by the driver or an assistant?
MANY THANKS for this input, which helps. Planning first trip to Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto; and wanted cheap easy visual OVERVIEW of cities; it appears all 3 cities offer a hop On/Off bus tour. Despite inherent problems with inadequate English narration, stop location signage, and long wait times; this vehicle is the least expensive option, that I can find, compared to escorted-guided bus tours and ToursByLocals. We cannot sightsee by subway, so we will attempt to ride the HOHO tour buses, with lowered expectations. We are grateful for the internet, and this TripAdvisor community. Thanks again.
No earbud audio but driver assistant provides information about the city and the stops along the way.
No supporting audio, but limited commentary provided.
