what is the entrance fee
is there a shuttle bus from port
It's 20$ to get it
When cruise ships are tendering there are shuttle buses running along the port but u still have to walk up the hill from the main road !!!!
A short walk up the main street is a restaurant called the Little Bistro.
Rated number 1 restaurant on tripadvisor and first choice restaurant on Lonely Planet. A must.
it is as others say $20 to get in. Well worth it.No shuttle from the port although there is no 'port' in Akaroa lol. If coming in by boat I would estimate it to be a pleasant 20min walk along the shore line and then up a gradual slope up to the Giants House. I am quite overweight and I did it fairly easily. The last bit is steep but we are only talking about 30 footsteps. Pretty muchly anyone of any age can do it. In Akaroa township itself you walk everywhere.
It's fascinating and well worth the visit and $20
The hill is very slight and easy for anyone.
It's also not far up the slight incline.
Do it. It's an international experience and a memory of Akaroa & NZ
entrance fee $20.00 per person not sure about a bus either we had a car.
Yes $20 entrance fee if you're doing a cruise it's a bit of a walk more than a km uphill, driveway particularly steep, but worth it it's a bit tucked away too
The entrance fee is $20.00 per person. There is no bus to it and it is a 10 minute up hill to it.
I agree, it is a short uphill walk but very well worth the trip.
