Looking to book 6-nights in Queenstown, but was wondering if this hotel had blackout curtains? With those big windows, I would hope they would have them. Also, is this a quiet hotel or is it close to town and near a party scene (we would like to avoid that..). Thank you!
The room we stayed in overlooked the gondola and had two blinds so provided blackout. Street was busy now and again as a walkway from other accommodation down the road. 5 mins or so walk from town so have to accept some noise but not excessive. If you book 'remarkables' view rooms not a problem.
As others have answered, the push-button blinds block out the sun. We stayed in a room overlooking the rugby field, and it was very quiet. Lovely hotel.
Hi, yes black out curtains were in place. I wouldn't say it's in a party area, but everywhere in Queenstown is party, so occasional revellers are always returning from some late night drinking somewhere early in morning. Saying that, it wouldn't put me off staying here and the singing was generally in tune !
The rooms have two sets of blinds that make the room very dark so that should not be an issue and yes it's a quiet hotel not near any bars or clubs. Have a great visit.
Yes, the windows had blackout shades which were electronic so very easy to open and close. We had the gondola room and went to bed early and didn't hear noise at night. There was a school across the street and kids were walking to school in the morning but didn't wake us up. The hotel itself is very small and quaint. We loved it!
It's perfect, little noise and blackout blinds, it's beautiful accommodation, sure you'll love it
Electrically operated curtains do the trick. They will have you covered.
Yes it had block out screens, i recall two, one thick, the other more a sun shade.
The hotel is definitely away from the party scene in the town.
The park side rooms will be quieter than the road side ones but both will be fine. Its a quiet and calm hotel.
