HI, I have a 3 years old and 1 year old, is the tour a long walk and want to check if pram allowed? Want to teach kids about penguin :)
I'm sorry i have not been on this site for a long time. The pram would of only got you so far. I do hope you went and enjoyed the tour.
Not suitable for taking pranks. The path is not even and the tour moves at a brisk pace. Recommend the blue penguins tour instead
would be great. Easy trail and would definitely take kids
It starts with a presentation for 15-20mins, before going to the nursery to see the rescued penguins. You then get a bus to the reserve and walk along a track for 500m or so to get a lookout over the beach. After that you then walk through a series of covered trenches to see the nests. Suspect if you take the kids if might be a little slow and you’ll end up carrying at least 1 of them for the entire trip. Instead, if you’re happy to keep them up, take the children to the sunset blue penguin trip, that’s very manageable and a lot of fun. You’ll only need 20-30mins there.
Definitely not suitable for young children out on the farm.No fun for them and a bit dangerous too.
There wouldn't be any way to bring a pram on the tour because of walking along some very narrow sandy and rocky trails and partially underground tunnels. You could contact Penguin Place with questions. There were some young children on our tour but they were older than yours, probably 5 or 6 years old. They might be a little young to appreciate the experience. The penguins are not really all that close and you must remain very quiet.
