Hi, It really doesn't matter to be honest although the first tour of the day when the forest is walking up is great and then you are finished to enjoy your rest of your day by mid morning! Also if you are coming in the summer months when we run our evening tours they are great too!

We did early morning(7:30) and found it an excellent time to go. Towards the end we could hear the group behind us but being the first group really made us feel like the entire forest was ours for most of the tour. I would recommend early definitely.

Trips go regularly throughout the day. We went late morning - 11:00 I think - and that was good. It is really a matter of when you can be fitted in because they are small groups with 2 guides. It's cool and shady so the weather doesn't make a big difference. It isn't arduous. There are short walks involved on the forest floor and a few short uphill bits but you are not in full sun. There is no wildlife except for a few small birds so you don't need to plan around that. The feral animal eradication talk at the end is really good.
