Whakarewarewa - The Living Maori Village Questions & Answers

Norwich England

Hi I have problem walking and standing for more than 5 minutes at a time are there mobility scooters and or wheel chairs available to use at the Living Maori village or do you need to bring your own? Can mobility scooters be hired for holiday use in New Zealand?

There wasn’t any mobility scooters to hire I don’t think. And I would say that some of the experience would be inaccessible to you although the main roads and areas and the entertainment area would be ok in a wheelchair. Hope this helps.

When we visited in November 2018, we didn't see any mobility scooters. However there is a visitor center where you have to purchase tickets, do inquire with them. Wheel chair should be available since this is a prominent place. You could contact them before visit on Phone: +64 7 349 3463
