Hi, we may be a bit rush of time but love to visit to Hamilton Gardens, can you recommend a few gardens that we can spend an hour time? Where do you recommend us to park our cars?
There is a large free car park at the gardens. Just drive through the main gate and you will end up there. The gardens are themed. Choose the ones that most interest you and go to those ones. There are good signs along the paths.
The car parking is easy to find once you are in the main gate.
The best idea is to ask when you get there about the best gardens up visit on a short time. It is spring here in NZ, so the Flowers should be beautiful.
I loved the Katherine Mansfield garden and it’s always nice I think to wander through the Rose gardens they are at the northern end away from the others.
You'll find plenty of car parking space at the gardens their are 2 entrances either will get you to parking, best get a map from the information centre, then choose from that, I would do the Chinese garden, Indian, the Italian, English, American can all be visited if you don't dawdle as they are all in one circuit, if any time left just wander to the turtle lake which is quite pleasant. Hope you enjoy we visit quite often and never tire of seeing it.
There’s a huge car park. My favourite gardens are the Chinese the mid century modern and the new Katherine Mansfield garden. There’s a cafe and gift shop too. Don’t miss it
There is usually plenty of parking in the gardens. Or street nearby. I would check at the Info Centre and obtain a map. As it depends on your area of interest to have a look. My must see is the large Pottage garden and the roses but they won't be in full bloom until November.
