Auckland Waterfront Serviced Apartments Questions & Answers

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Hi, Thanks for your reviews on Auckland Waterfront Apartment. I'm traveling to Auckland in December and would like to stay at this place. May I check with you, is the apartment fully air-conditioned? I'm afraid of heat and mosquitoes in the summer. Thanks

Hi

Thank you for your enquiry. We wish to advise the apartments are privately owned and managed on the owners behalf by Auckland Waterfront Serviced Apartments. Unfortunately not all apartments air-conditioned however you are welcome to request this but it is not guaranteed and will be subject to availability. It would be extremely rare to see mosquitoes at Princes Wharf. Graeme and I have lived here for 6 years and have never experienced this before. You have a private balcony overlooking the Waitemata Harbour and the Auckland Harbour bridge.

Should you require further information please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Kind Regards

There is air conditioning in the apartments. Remember though, this is Auckland NZ. Your apartment will get the best refreshing breezes straight off the water and also, NZ summers are not that hot or humid. Most Kiwis i know do not even own a A/C. I lived in Auckland for many years ... as a kiwi a hot summer is what you dream of but rarely happens :) You should have pleasant sunny weather though.

Hi - we were there in late January/early February and as with the previous contributor, our apartment was air conditioned. When we were in the apartment, we had the balcony doors fully open all the time and only used the air conditioning in the evening. We had absolutely no mosquitos at all. We would agree the suggestion that you contact the management company. We found them to be particularly helpful and accommodating and keen for their guests to be comfortable. As a bit of advice, when discussing with the management company, make sure your apartment is not on the "cruise ship mooring" side of the wharf. We would much prefer to be in that lovely apartment now looking forward to a glorious Summer rather than facing an unpredictable British Winter! Hope this helps you.

Hi

The apartment that we rented had full air conditioning but we were told that not all had - depending on who owned the apartment. I think it better if you checked directly with the management company. We found them very obliging. We had no problem with mosquitoes and we had the big doors open most of the time. Hope that this is of some help.
