Thanks for all the input. We went on Saturday & took our own food & drink, no worries at all. It was a lovely day trip. No more answers required please.

I don’t think you can although I am not 100% sure. There are shops on the island though. You can purchase drinks and small chocolate bars/crisps on the boat.

I don’t see why not. I think that’s a great idea.

Enjoy the day.

Yes, you could. There are cafes and restaurants there, very good food but they are not cheap. To feed a family would be quite expensive. There are lots of quiet areas on the beaches or along the boardwalk to enjoy a picnic.

Have a great time.

I think I should have done so. I suggest you pack a soft esky with supplies and use sandwiches etc. but thére is à pub and a few food stores. ..a very nice ice cream ßtore. Green Island was my first snorkeling on the Great barrier reef and I had the awesome first encounter with a green sea turtle but the food was not great that first time and it went down hill from not great each other time.

Yes, there didn't seem to be a problem. We could also buy them on the boat over or at the cafes and restaurant there.

we had no bag searches or stuff like that restricting what we took. Its a good thing to do as fairly expensive out there. don't miss the mini sub ride as that was the best bit of reef I saw. (dived other spots and its sad)
