The Saxon Church, Bradford on Avon Questions & Answers

Hitchin, United Kingdom

I'm going to be in Bradford-on-Avon at the end of July, probably for one day only. I am happy to walk short distances but, just in case, is car parking available near both the Saxon Church and the Tithe Barn?

I would echo all the above comments. The town is very compact and nothing is too far away. I hope you have a lovely time - we certainly enjoyed our visit.

Hi, This has been answered as above. My husband can't walk far but managed the Saxon Church fairly easily. Lovely town, you will enjoy it and want to go back.

Yes there is car parking beside St Matgaret's Hall, and the Saxon Church is just over the bridge from there. If you want all day parking the cheapest option is the car park close to the canal , across the road from Sainsbury's., or the car park at the station. The town is very compact so walking along the canal towards Tithe Barn, then along the river towards the bridge to the Saxon Church is an easy distance.

Yes there is parking for the Tithe barn via Pound Lane( look for the tennis court at the mini roundabout) or park at the end of the railway station car park and walk under the railway bridge by the river. For the Saxon Church there is limited on street car parking on Church Street(look for the big church in the town centre) or park in St Margarets Car Park (turn in by the Pelican crossing) near the Hall, go over the footbridge and Saxon Church is in front of you. Hope you enjoy it!
