Will be visiting with my husband in August for 9 nights. How much of the resort property is devoted to adults - only (I.e. pools, beach, restaurants, etc.) vs how much of it is open to all ages? Given the time of year we will be visiting, I’m concerned that we may be overrun by kids.
Hideaway adults only has 3 buildings of rooms, an infinity Pool a couple of bars, private lobby, beach area, decked area and cabanas and the Dorado restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner.... all just for adults. Whilst there were children around when we visited in Feb, I guess there’ll be more on August. There didn’t seem to be any policing of the adults only beach area and random children could wander around. We found by keeping to the Hideaway areas we only experienced children in the other resort restaurants. Good luck in August!
Thanks everyone for the info!
Hideaway area is adults only. Having said that when we went in June we found that there were hardly any children around the resort in general. There was a large water climbing frame thing for children which was the other side of the resort from Hideaway.
Hope this helps.
The Hideaway is the adult section. The rest of the resort is family oriented. Not many kids when we were there but that was in early February. Be careful, very very careful. They will try to get you to join their travel club in very sneaky ways!
There is one pool with slides, fountains for children i was there end of Feb only a few child and most under age of five
HIDEAWAY its adults only no kids allowed.
They have there own pool, bar restaurant and beach area.
The hideaway as 1 pool and a small section of beach and a restaurant that u can have breakfast . And evening dinner The resort didn’t have many kids there but it’s very noisy all the time with the entertainment day and night then there is the diamond club they have a small bit of beach and a pool . Don’t think the hideaway can use that it’s all bit much really spoilt it for me
There are two pools and a section of beach that are for adults only and there are three hotel buildings set aside also. you would have to book that section in order to have access to the adults-only area
There is a dedicated pool for adults only near blocks 1 and 2, plus this has its own pool bar. There is a bar nearby for use at night which again is adults only. If you go down the stairs which are next to the adult pool this will take you to the adult restaurant which is great for breakfast and evening meals. On this level is the section of beach for adults and it has it’s own bar. We did use the other restaurants throughout resort and maybe it was due to the time of year (September) but we were’nt bothered by children ( we did see some children in the main pool area during the day) but it wasn’t noisy. All I can say is we had a fab time.
Prob as far as accomadation goes one third is adults only . But the restaurants do allow kids . The beach and pools areas do seem to be policed re kids access .
We had no problems with kids at all but that may have been the time of year . To be honest I would not say it’s a kids place !
There is a separate pool and pool bar , restaurant for breakfast and evening meals also for Hideaway guests the end section of the beach which also has a bar which serves lunches as well.. There is also a bar which is only open in the evenings well away from the other bars.
