We will be arriving in Palma and have a day to spend before we leave port for our cruise (11pm depart) can anyone please tell me if the train is within walking distance of the port and if there are any other suggestions of things to do. It will be my first time in Palma.
I would agree that a taxi from the port to the cathedral area would be best and then walk to explore the area around the cathedral and towards the station
The train is quite a distance from the port. Best thing to see in Palma is the cathedral and then to wander round the narrow streets at the back of the cathedral, sit at a cafe and watch the world go by.
I would say that it depends on the trains timetable and you since there is approximately 7 km from the cruise terminal to the train station. However, you could take a cab to somewhere near the cathedral and then walk to the station (apr. 1,5 km) or vice versa since Palma is also a fascinating town to visit. Have a nice trip.
No, the train is quite far from the port. We took a cab from ship to train station.
A bit of a trek, l think. The Old Town in Palma is beautiful and worth a few hours to wander round. The train station for Soller is next to Placa de Espanya (Station 'Estacio Intermodal').
