How far is it from the station to cruise port terminal? Are there taxis available?
It is 24.6 miles from Glasgow Central Station to the ocean terminal in Greenock. You could take a taxi from the front of Glasgow Central and on a good day it would take about 35 minutes but would be cost prohibitive. I would take the train from Glasgow Central to Greenock - 57 min and decidedly cheaper.
Far better to go by train normally platforms 12-15 on main level. Will cost you approach £8 and will take you virtually door to door. Taxi will cost you a lot more and take you a lot longer.
Glasgow central to Greenock central is a 40 minute train journey and will cost between £7-£10 return. There are 3-4 trains every hour and the last train is 23.45. I hope that this information assists you with your travel plans. Station staff at Glasgow central will guide you to the correct platform
Yes there are taxi cabs from the Glasgow central station. But Greenock is far, and may cost much. It may be best to take the train to Glasgow. From Greenoc, then takenthe cab to the cruise ship. Cabs are not expensive in Scotland.
