What do they do if it rains? Cancel or?
Are there any covered seats?
If it rains, people on the floor (standing) get wet, and people in the benches won’t cuz they are under roof.
The stage is secured from rain as well as the seats, whereas the area where you need to stand is not covered
There's covered seating and there's the open standing only area in front of the stage. Quite often the open area is just a fiver but the risk is that you have to be out in the rain if it rains. If you want to be certain of being dry best to go for the covered seating.
there are some covered seats on the lower level, its ideal to sit on the lower level in the back row near an aisle. its more comfortable to lean against the back wall, and you're covered if it rains.
If it rains it rains - bring a rain coat and be prepared. There are covered areas which obviously cost more but even the front seats of these are open to the elements.
you shouldn`t get wet on the seats, you will if you stand but isn`t that part of the experience?
Hi unknown traveller! You can buy a rain cape at the reception, umbrellas are not allowed! It´s a great sport to mingle in the yard among the "groundlings",the standing audience, on a rainy evening and listen to the sound of falling rain drops mixed with the visitors´ reciting murmur. However, the actors have impressive (and loud) voices that are never drowned by the audience´s semi-participation. The English know their bard!
The play will proceed regardless of the weather. All seats are under cover but if you pay for a cheap standing ticket in the "Groundlings" are around the stage, you will be open to the elements. It rained when we visited and we noticed that they sell ponchos.
Just have a shiny head like Shakespeare and the Rain Falls off easily
