Walton On The Naze beach Questions & Answers

Ipswich, United Kingdom

Hello, I absolutely love Walton On The Naze!

I was brought to Walton throughout my childhood by my parents and I brought both my children and their friends too. I have always enjoyed coming for a stroll along the beach but, now I have lovely friendly dogs I would very much like to bring them along to Walton too. Are dogs allowed on the beach?

Many thanks

Gina

Dogs are not allowed on the busiest parts of the beach during summer (1st May to end Oct). The beach is huge though so there will be some areas that are okay

Dogs are allowed on the beach, but only between certain times of the year! Once it's 'in season' time & there are a lot of visitors I don't think your allowed to take your dogs onto the beach! I'm sure I read a sign near the pier end saying so too & thought it an odd thing!

I've visited Walton from the age of 12 & it's a beautiful place, I'd live there if I could! We always stayed on Martello's & I was sad to see it now resembling a building site! So many happy memories for me that place!!

We saw dogs when we went but that was in the winter, I suspect there will be restrictions in the summer when beaches are busy.

Again as previous answers dogs are allowed on some beaches all year and restrictions apply during the summer. Suggest looking at Tendring council websites

We took our dog to Walton beach but then we were quite far up the beach away from the main part.
