The height of the Jesi town walls is simply stunning - they are intact and are part of the modern town, with people living and working in parts of the structure.

Largely unknown Palace in the centre of Jesi. Magnificent ceilings rival any others. Very good value, guides available in English.

This was the only place open on a Sunday in late summer (August 2022) when we were in Jesi. It was very hot outside, so we were thrilled the air con worked - and it was also an excellent museum. We’d highly recommend it to anyone who is in Jesi. The exhibits combine aural, video and reading options - and are simply outstanding.

Interesting building designed by Francesco and Giorgio Martini. Inside there is the Planettiana library.

The Pergolesi theater is a nice building made with typical red bricks. The facade present an arcade surmounted by two rows of windows on the top at the center there is a watch restored in 2006. The square is large and sunny during the summer.

This is a historical library, of which there are many in Italy and in the world. What makes this one special is the guided tour, given by Signor Giancarlo, and which will allow you to be as close to a 15th Century book as an amateur could be. I love the smell of old books and this library has 150.000 volumes. The collection includes some in parchment and in the very first papers manufactured in the area, a good number of incunabula and manuscripts. the collection came from several sources, like the donations of the family Pianetti that gave the name to the library. The area had 4 convents and when these disappeared, the books were transferred to this community library as well. With incredible care and gloves, the tour transports you along 500 years of the history of books. One of the them was particularly interesting, because it contained a chain. It was the 15th Century city regulations, which was displayed in a public place for everyone to consult but chained to a fixed place so users couldn't take it away. It is marked by its many users, including the dirt of their fingers. This library is a hidden jewel - for the guided tour you need to go to the tourist info office of Jesi and find out...

It's very old and well preserved, if you just want to visit the church you don't need to pay anything.

inside it could be really dark so I advise you to choose a sunny day.

Well I lived in front the church ;)

    Enjoy jesi
