We spent 2 nights as B&B guests at the property and also joined a farm tour/oil tasting (included in the tariff). For those seeking a rustic/authentic masseria experience at a real, working farm - look no further. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and equipped with basic cooking facilities also. Breakfast (included in the tariff) was served in the olive grove, and on a day with inclement weather in the hosts' beautiful home.

The owners Corrado and Antonella are wonderful hosts, and treated us like family. The property is a slice of heaven. The tour itself, which is a major tourist magnet, is very informative and interesting with passionate and knowledgeable guides. Very high quality olive oils- a reflection of the love and dedication that has gone into running the farm while respecting age-old traditions dating back to Roman times.

We took a one-day trip to this romantic place from Bari by train. It took about 1 hour and we took a local bus to the centre. The Old Town has some nice old historic buildings and the Duomo. It’s interesting that all the houses are white. The coast is beautiful, we took lots of photos. We liked wandering in the narrow streets. It’s very nice, panoramic historical centre. A must-see site in Puglia!

We liked wandering in the narrow streets and the stairs in the Old Town. You need comfty shoes! The Duomo is perhaps on the highest point of the town. The Cathedrale di Santa Maria Assunta was built between 1437-1495. It’s an impressive building with beautiful rose windows on the fronts of the church. Inside my favourite parts were the ceiling and the baroque style altar (from about 1720). It’s made from stone with wooden altarpice. I think it’s worth a visit.

Small well run informal beach club 15 mins drive from Ostuni (set up on a free beach). You pay 7 euros to park your car in the shade and for access to toilets, changing area and showers. 25 euros gets you 2 sunbeds and a parasol for the day set up by the beach boys wherever you want - no lines here. Bring your own towels. Small bar serves coffee, snacks, and drinks. Beach is clean (apart from the odd cigarette butt as you dig in the sand with your feet!) Not far to the sea and it shelves gently. The day we were there it was windy and a welcome respite to the 31 degree heat but the surf was up and the waves big so needed to take care in the water. A few beach sellers but just say no or make no eye contact and they move on. Lovely day taking a break from sightseeing around the Itrian villages and towns.

Great area to select a cove by the sea. Views over the sea, towers. Some areas have facilities if you want. But the main attraction is that you can have a nice quiet time by the sea away from the crowds and enjoy nature.

In the heart of the Old Town is located this nice old square with lots of famous buildings: eg.: Palazzo del Municipio. It’s a meeting point for, very popular with locals and tourists. There are some very good cafes, bars and restaurants. In the middle of the square a Baroque-style obelisk stands: the spire of Sant’Oronzo. It was made from limestone in the mid-700s and it is more than 20 metres high. Earlier (until 14th century) the name of the square was Piazza Sant'Oronzo.

The San Francisco Church is right on the main Piazza della Liberta square, next door to neoclassic Town Hall.
The Church dates back to 14c, but was rebuilt in the 18c after an earthquake demolition. It has a classic Italian Baroque facade with two Saints in niches - St. Francis of Assisi and St. Antonio di Padova. Nice interior and altar.

Nice beach, it was easy to find and it has free parking. There was no one there when we first arrived. The sun was out and the water was wonderful

We ended up here by accident , having a drink on a terrace we saw some horses passing by but we did not have any clue what was going on. We just wanted to visit some towns close to our rental house and because we were attending some italian classes we did not explore the possibilities of what to see and do in the neighbourhood.
We heard from other people that there was going to be a parade with horses in the center of town . And it was really beautiful to watch. During this 3 day festival the horses can be seen at several occasions , but there are also other things to do in the center, definately worth a visit .

Beautiful beach near Ostuni. The beach is actually stunning and immerse in maquis shrubland. You can both rent sunbeds and parasol or decide to bring your own (i.e no fee for laying on the beach is required). I recommend this place if you are traveling near Ostuni.

This museum is small but has some interesting archeological artifacts, including the story of a 26,000 year old pregnant woman found in a burial cave. Well worth a few minutes of your time.
