The whole of the St David's area is magical. Breathtaking coastal path, lovely restaurants / pubs. Our favourites include; "The Sloop" in Porthgain and the terrace at the back of The Farmers Arms in St David's - with lovely views of the Cathedral. The Gallery at the visitors centre in St David's is worth a visit too, which can be combined with a meal/drink at the Hotel across the road.

A truly wild and wonderful coastline to explore for short and long walks, with stunning views of the sea crashing into granite cliffs. The paths are well set and maintained but you will need good footwear throughout and be prepared for strong winds some days. It felt safe on all three walks we went on, with the highlight being from Whitesands Bay to St Davids Head and beyond to Arthur's Quoit. Buses can take you to various spots along the Pembrokeshire Coast from St Davids.

We visited here yesterday while on a overnight stay nearby.
We had a fantastic time! Unfortunately we didn't explore the outside as we didn't have appropriate footwear for the weather, but we did look around the bug museum, have lunch at the grub kitchen and get close and personal with some cute bugs. We own indian insects and thorny stick insects so it was lovely to see different species of stick insects. We also held a hissing cockroach!
The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable.
We will definitely be returning in the near future.

The Bishops Palace is situated right next to St.Davids Cathedral.A great place to explore, with one able to examine what's left of the Palace rooms on its various levels, though one has to be careful climbing up the narrow spiral staircases!
Huge central courtyard, now grassed over, one can even go "below ground"into the cellars, fascinating place, plenty of information boards all over the site to let you know what room you're in,what it was used for.Really enjoyed the exploration.
Small admission charge, though free to EH Members.

A small group of us, on visiting the gallery decided to stay for lunch. The cafe was very busy, but after a short wait we found a table. The menu was interesting and the specials sounded good. We all chose different things and none of us were disappointed. Lunch was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful

What a fabulous day we had on the island. From the boat trip over , the warm welcome from Nia the warden and to see the island at her best in the fabulous sunshine. Most of the birds that nest on the island over the summer had departed but we saw so many seal pups on the beaches , it well worth the visit. The views out to Grassholme and the Bishops rock light house and looking back to the mainland were spectacular. Will definitely be returning soon.

Such a picturesque setting. One of so many to be found in Pembrokeshire.
We did a circular walk from Caerfai. Which is around 2.6 miles. Although there are many other coastal paths to follow.
The chapel is worth visiting. Such a beautiful setting .....Just stunning!

Beautiful beach and coastal walk but car park is a rip off at £6 especially if you’re only there for a couple of hours.

This is a lovely place. We come every year, talk to the very knowledgeable gentleman who runs it and the plants we buy are always first class.
    A place not to miss

Absolutely beautiful area. Have been here 3 times on holiday and will return next year. Stunning coastal path walks from here to Solva, St. Non's, Porth Clais and beyond. Highly recommended anyone to go to this area but be aware that the beach itself is down a steep slope. There is a bench in the little car park above the bay though, so one can sit and enjoy the view from either their vehicle or the bench.

Walk there on the coastal path. It's 6.5 miles from St David's, but you 'll remember the walk forever.

We stay in St David's a couple of times a year - and Goat Street Gallery is one place I always have to visit. Previous purchases have been anything from a stained glass crow, to a selection of handmade gift tags to a wonderfully tactile cushion. This visit was no different, and my goodness - the place never disappoints!

There was the most beautiful abstract painting, by Zoe Taylor(?) if only I had a spare £1000 in my account, it would have been mine! Seriously - totally gorgeous. And now I am back at home, and looking at the wall where it could have/should have been hanging, I am beginning to regret not blowing my overdraft on it....

A wonderful space, with an array of the most incredible artistic creations. Time spent here, is good for the soul.
