Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is in the old school building and has all the history of the mines and schooling. It was very interesting to go through it. It cost $8 per adult. Worth it

We took a romantic stroll around the garden before going and seeing the view from the dirt mounds across the road.

Very beautiful garden would love to see it lit up at night 😍

Its was a great beach to walk on with the family, to just in enjoy the peaceful sounds of the waves. There was picture rest views where in every direction. It would be great to walk at sunset if you got the chance that’s our plan next time.

Absolute paradise. The jetty is a feature for tourists or fishermen. The water is pristine with pure white sand and an abundance of sea life. A great general store, caravan park and tavern on offer as well.

June, the guide, told us all about the history of the church, how it was built by Cornish miners who came to Australia to find copper.
    A most impressive building.

Moonta was once a prosperous copper mining area. Legend has it that a prospector fossicking for copper looked down a wombat hole and found copper. There is now a life-sized statue of two wombats in the centre of Moonta. Wombats are indigenous borrowing animals, about the size of a small pig, Many of the miners were from Cornwall, that had mined tin since Roman times. They were known as "Cousin Jacks." Many people in South Australia are descended from these Cornish miners.

Our 2.5 yr old and 3.5yr old loved the train ride, especially the two tunnels/bridges. The speaker in each carriage plays the pre recorded audio which gave a great history lesson.

We were looking for fresh fish, and found them here, neatly packaged, and definitely fresh. We also bought some other meat too, and thoroughly enjoyed that lamb too. What a great shop.
