- EarlyRetirementAbroaPrinceton, NJ3,059 contributionsA nice Synagogue, well maintained and guarded by the military personnel with the real gun, which is important during the current situation. The people behave respectfully and you can enjoy the visit. A little museum provides enough information in English so visitors can learn about the Jewish diaspora in Kochi.Written 3 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Big Indian ToursKochi (Cochin), India295 contributionsCherai Beach is relatively small but offers a peaceful atmosphere, particularly in the early morning when crowds are minimal. It's a great spot for water activities and strolls. The beach entrance is well-maintained, thanks to the diligent efforts of the cleaning staff. While food options are limited, local vendors offer tasty treats like fried bananas and spicy fried chillies. The beach offers ample parking right by the shore, making it convenient for visitors. Access is easy via the adjacent road, although parts of the beach may require a bit of climbing due to barriers separating it from the road. Evenings tend to be busier, with visitors arriving by bus to enjoy the sunset and water activities.
Lifeguards are present on the main beach, but caution is advised for those venturing further into the water. Cherai Beach is approximately 25 km from downtown Kochi and 20 km from Cochin International Airport. Spanning about 10 km along the coast, it's known for its gentle tides and occasional dolphin sightings. The beach also offers a unique view where the backwaters meet the sea.Written 2 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Compass366702960925 contributionsNice place where you can spend one evening with family. If you hav drawback e time you can enjoy a water metro ride in addition to the boat journey. View of sun set and a walk in sea shore by enjoying the cool Breeze from the sea will be a good experience to you . In week end the insufficient parking place is a drawback.Written 17 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
