What travellers are saying
- BorisbonbonFreudenstadt, Germany40 contributionsMust visit when you are in China. You won't find this anywhere else in the world. I am a big fan of the small Pandas and they run around everywhere.
Not sure if it is still possible, but like 15 years ago you even could do an internship here
Pandas are just amazing! Lazy is the new coolWritten 20 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We took the bus, boat and cable car up and back, but there are still a lot of stairs to climb. My Fitbit noted just under 5 miles total there and back from main gate. There are plenty of stalls for food and drink and places to rest, take time and enjoy the views through the trees! We were lucky to have dry but cool weather making climbing easier. There are various maps posted further up the mountain making it easy to check progress. We only have cash and found it easy to buy the various extra tickets. Over 60ās free into park, adults 80. Bus 10. Boat 5 cable car 60 return or can get single if walking one way. Porters will carry you up last part but I didnāt even want to try and discover price as might have been tempted, would have felt too guilty as Iām not the lightest.Written 30 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Zfy EdSingapore, Singapore8,646 contributionsThis is a lovely "ancient" shopping street located right next to the Wuhou Ci (Wu Hou Shrine Temple of Marquis) where many ancient building structures, historical shop/tea houses along the tiny walklanes and bridges, where you will find like walking into the memory lane of ancient China, though a little touristy.
There are many eateries, restaurants and food booths here, with local and international cusines and you will be spoiled for choices, not to mention, many shops selling souvenirs and local delicacies, arts and handicrafts etc. There's also an open air teahouse where you can enjoy live singing performances (2pm-8pm) while having your drinks under the trees and clear blue sky.
If you come in the evening, that will be perfect as the area wil be lit with many beautiful red lanterns along the walklanes and bridges. It's so nice.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Free entry, just had to show green code. Lots of little buildings and walk ways to go around. You can light a candle in memory, or for reflection. The exit gate leads you to a beautiful pedestrian street with various small restaurants and shops. Lovely place to sit and relax for a while, feels like a bit of an escape! Note - lots of shops selling embroidery - they might not be as 'local' as they make out!Written 14 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - semitsvetik68Chongqing, China149 contributionsVisited DuFu cottage on May 2, 2021. Not as many people as in other tourist sites. Nice park, traditional Chinese park. I wouldn't say the best one I visited in China, still it has the beauty.Written 12 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Zfy EdSingapore, Singapore8,646 contributionsIf you are a fan of China history, especially the three kingdom like me, you will surely have to visit this place where history has come alive.
All the while, we have read stories (or in history books) about the three kingdom, also having watched the TV serials and movies about it, what is better than personally coming by to see the real artifacts, displays and figures on display. There are so many things to see and you will feel that you have traveled back in time to the then era!
I like the back gardens (peach gardens) where you can see the beautiful peach trees with flowers, the figurines of the three sworn brothers and the founding, prosperiy and demise of the Shu kingdom. Very detailed and realistic and generally if you are a fan and want to have a sight of everything, you will need simply a day.
For me, due to the rushing schedule, I only spent about 2~3 hrs here before heading to the next destination but it's surely worth visiting.
The admission is RMB 50 and seniors from local, macao or taiwan, aged 60years and above can enter free with the show of identity card or passport.Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The old shophouses located on both sides on the small walking paths, have been given a refurnished with a new lease of life, signaling the young and energy vibes of the city. These shophouses (also the makeshift stalls) are now mainly retail businesses, selling local souvenirs, toys, arts and handicrafts, foods and drinks etc.
Because of these, the place is very crowded as lots of visitors and also quite touristy. Many shops have staff stationed outside their premise to tout passersby to go into their shops to buy things or watch the "facechanging" performances etc. Well, that's interesting but just smile and walk through them (unless you have intention to buy their products).Written 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MdTravelerX2Silver Spring, MD553 contributionsWe spent several hours touring the site and wandering the grounds. The findings are presented in a pleasant and understandable manner. The English audio guide is well done and worth the 20 yuan charge.Written 18 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Choo H48 contributionsIts the largest building by floor area in the world. It has a shopping mall, an indoor water theme park and cinema. Indeed an eye opener for me. Definitely worth a visit.Written 10 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

It's peaceful and calm, has the magic to cool you down.
