One of the most beautiful churches in Italy. And the piazza out front is a hang out for locals young and old. It's the jewel of Praiano

Beaches are scarce on the Amalfi Coast and often busy. This was no exception but is in a pretty location and offered welcome relief from the heat with a number of restaurants and cafes close by. Be prepared to have to fight for a spot to lie down and you will be close to others, but the water is clean and the views are great.

We started this hike in Praiano...which starts as a set of stairs, that leads to more stairs...turns into a lovely tree lined path, full of stairs, and climbs steeply along more stairs. The reward for the workout is probably one of the most beautiful views over Praiano and Positano that you can get. We continued on to the Path of the Gods and finished in Positano...after descending...you guessed it, thousands more stairs. Such an incredible experience, just be sure to wear some supportive shoes.

Loved this place. It was their last day of the season. I enjoyed their Aperol Spritz and my two daughters enjoyed a cold swim. Beautiful little spot.well worth the hike down.

This is a very interesting small church built on a hillside in Praiano on the Amalfi coast. We were staying just above the church and stopped by on our way down the hill to dinner. Very charming.

The grotto was swimming distance (if you’re a strong swimmer or have a floating device) from our hotel - Hotel Torre Saracena. We decided to rent kayaks (at the Marina) which was a good choice. Super easy to get to, magical to go into. Make sure you go when the sun is hitting the outside of the entrance to the grotto. Go towards the back and then look out at the entrance and you’ll see the magic!

    *only cost was the kayaks

Our 4 yr old loved the miniature village and you can see most of it in this picture. It’s on the roadside as you leave the village of Praiano heading East.

It’s slightly past its glory - I think it was a temporary art installation setup a few years ago, and isn’t maintained.

Still, if you’re nearby and want to entertain the kids for 10 mins it’s handy!

Just a week in Praiano, but we could not miss this magnificent church with a tile floor that tells a story in pictures with brilliant colors. As with everything on the Amalfi coast it involved steps up and down. Amalfi is not handicap equipped!

We wanted a genuine look into an Italian kitchen when looking for a cooking class and, boy, am I SO glad we found Rocco and Carla’s Bé Genuine in home cooking class! We had an incredible time learning to make several shapes of pasta while munching on the fab antipasto platter Carla had prepared while sipping the homemade wine which Rocco makes in their home. We shared our time with two newlyweds, and the two of us, celebrating our 25 year wedding anniversary! It was so quaint and cozy with a view of the sea and Carla and Rocco showing us wonderful Italian hospitality.
HIGHLY recommend this tour, and, if you’re lucky enough, you may get to spend some time with their DARLING sweet little boy, who really made this experience even better than it already was. THANK YOU, Carla and Rocco, for an experience we will never forget! We will be BACK! ❤️

This place suited us down to the ground as Praiano was exactly what we wanted from a holiday.  Peaceful hotel, transport (!although buses do not keep well to timetables), cafes, bars and restaurants, couple of small supermarkets and a pharmacy.  In striking distance of Amalfi and Positano.
Praiano is a friendly town, no pavements and little street lighting so keep your wits about you at all times when walking along the road.

The Torre a Mare is a beautiful overlook. We walked it and went to the top where the artist paints. The view was incredible.
