Excellent attraction, with informative exhibits. Very basic, but absolutely does the job. The garden was excellent. On the pricy side with some add-ons for what it is but highly recommended

Why an absolutely incredible house! The location, the style, the contents, all just so beautiful. I am a huge fan of the arts and crafts movement and this is such a great example.

This is a chain ferry connecting the two sides of the long, thin Lake Windermere and can save you 20 minutes or more getting to the other side, depending on how busy it might be.

Although it was August, we had no queue and got onto the boat after only the wait for it to return from the other side. If you had bad luck you might need to wait for several crossings.

On the return we drove round the south side of the lake just to see different scenery.

Given the cost I don't think you're saving a lot of money or time but it's fun to go on a little ferry like this to experience the view from the middle of the lake.

Extraordinary photos of the Lakes Region. Landscape and wildlife, sunlight and sky. So glad I didn’t miss this gallery of Matt Muttall photography!

Our first visit and we found it a very friendly space which worked very well in the Round. The play, a new one by Alan Ayckbourn, was very entertaining and superbly acted by all.

My wife and myself are currently holidaying in the Lake District and earlier today we visited the lovely St Martin’s Church in Bowness.

It is easy to find - short walk from the waterfront - and both the gardens and church itself are well worth a short visit.

We were there for Remeberance Sunday and it was very moving. Beautiful church. It was overflowing with people but as visitors we were made to feel welcome

I played Windermere, while on holiday in the Lake District. It’s a great course with excellent views of the Lake District mountains as you go round the course. One of a few course to have no bunkers! The course was in great condition despite recent very wet weather, which did result in two of the holes being closed due to being waterlogged. But even with the hole closures, I enjoyed a great round of golf and the weather managed to stay dry. Staff also very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth playing if you’re visiting these parts.

Amazing escape room. Lots of fun and different puzzles. The room was well built with lots of props. Great GM Peter who made the whole experience great.
