What travellers are saying
- DavidLille, France1,593 contributionsThe cathedral inspires awe. The stained glass windows are particularly impressive - some of the most ornate I have seen, and there are a great number of them. The peaceful choral music that fills the cathedral adds to the atmosphere.Written 30 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We are great fans of small family collections - as well as enjoying some incredible art work, one imagines and tries to discern the taste of the two individuals who chose and loved them.Written 3 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We sat on the outside terrace at the back overlooking a small courtyard garden.Written 30 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve LLondon, UK77 contributionsThis was left to the last day of our visit as we had an empty morning but this turned out to be far more than an afterthought. The audio guide was excellent and very necessary because the sheer volume of exhibits needed explanation. Thousands of items beautifully presented, this museum brought home the complexity and skill of the work and workmen who used the tools.
Who knew that basket weavers were also by tradition bear handlers. We spent two hours in the museum and could have done with more timeWritten 5 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Reductions are not great but it’s good to shop virtually under cover.Written 10 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mister JStoke-on-Trent, UK1,285 contributionsWe were somewhat spoiled in that we visited Colmar the day before so I’m giving Troyes 4 star compared to Colmar 5, but very very worth visiting, Ruelle des chats (cat’s alley) the cathedral and the exquisite timbered buildings from the Middle Ages. The ‘vibe’ was slightly more aloof (e.g. we were carrying a map and obviously slightly lost but no-one attempted to assist? I’d like to think at least one person in my hometown might lend a hand!) Maybe that’s just my interpretation and perception?Written 9 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Ian GBasel, Switzerland1,239 contributionsThere may not be many exhibits in the museum but each piece is superb and different. The glass my be from the 16th century or more contemporary as a jazz scene. More current are the proposals for a cathedral in the 21st century. Fascinating to see is the family tree of Jesus.Written 29 December 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
