This very old basilica is presently partly under restoration. Situated on a hill on the side of Cantu it is well worth a visit.

The priest is incredibly friendly, helpful, kind and really keeps the community vibe going at this beautiful church.

This past weekend I tried out the new hair salon inside the existing structure thanks to a Groupon coupon. From the other comments, I realized that the structure is small, but the hair salon is tiny! There are 2 client chairs and one shampoo station. I arrived and I was the second client. The first was almost finished. The hairdresser who did my shatush was very courteous, she discussed my options and then proceeded with the application. In the meantime, the first client finished and another arrived. The male stylist chatted to her, discussing her options. Another client arrived and I was asked to sit at the shampoo station. All fine. Then it seemed to be a rush after that. The two new clients were done up with color and I was told that my treatment needed another 5 minutes. After 1 minute the male stylist came over and started rinsing. I thought it strange that he didn't check the color but immediately started rinsing. He then sat me in the chair asked me how much to cut, and, when I asked for just a trim of the ends, proceeded to cut a huge hunk of hair off the back. He didn't even bother to touch the rest! I'm now missing a hunk of hair at the back, it's uneven and the color of the shatush is non-existent! I didn't notice at the time because the 1st hairdresser came back and styled my hair so that the missing hunk wasn't noticeable. I only noticed once I washed out the style.

I felt that I was rushed out of the salon to make space for others and that the male stylist took offense that I didn't want to do more than a trim. Result: I have to go to another salon to re-do the color and see if they can do something to hide the missing hunk of hair :(

I have a smartbox and had been considering the structure as my destination. The comments about the spa area seem to be good so I might try it out but I will not ever try the salon again...even when that missing hunk of hair grows back!
