My girlfriend and I explored a bit while she went somewhere else and set up a "picnic" spot on the rocks with a blanket, lanterns, flowers, delicious wine, snacks and the most amazing view of the sea.
We sprung for the wine tasting (incredible value!) with a cheese plate and enjoyed beautiful countryside views and traditional Greek music and dancing.

Make the trek up the hill to see this monastery dedicated to St. John. it has a very ornate orthodox church, a courtyard, monks quarters and stunning views of Patmos Island and the surrounding islands.
